Hi, I’m a biology grad student who still remembers what it feels like to sit the AP Bio exam. I mostly work with juniors juggling sports and heavy course loads, so we build weekly check-ins around their class schedule. I like spending extra time on genetics, experimental design, and practice FRQs, because that’s where students often gain easy points and real confidence on test day. We also plan out unit tests and the May exam so nothing sneaks up on them.

I’m a pre-med student with a major in Molecular Biology, and I work mainly with AP Biology students who feel overwhelmed by the amount of detail. Instead of memorising every pathway, we group topics into themes like energy, information, and systems. I bring in examples from my lab coursework so ideas like enzyme regulation or signal transduction feel less abstract and more concrete in class.

As a former AP Biology and Chemistry teacher, I’ve guided classes through both exams many times. Now I tutor online and in person, often picking up students midway through the year when grades start to slip. We rebuild weak topics first, then move to mixed question sets that combine biology and chemistry ideas, which is especially helpful for students also thinking ahead to the MCAT and beyond.
